How to create a quotation
Devinstock simplifies the process of creating compelling quotations to showcase your products and services. Follow this process to create comprehensive and tailored quotations to meet the needs of your clients effectively.
Start by accessing the Sales Module and creating a new quotation.
A sale quotation is a sale proposal document provided by a seller to a potential buyer, outlining the terms, conditions, and prices of goods or services offered for sale.
General Information
Please select the account or lead to proceed. You also have the option to search within existing accounts:
Alternatively, you have the option to create a new account by typing 'add new account' and entering the necessary information including the name (required), email address, and mobile number.
- Create a new reference or enter one manually.
- Allocate a team member to the quotation.
- Incorporate key dates such as the date of publication, delivery date, and deadline for transparency and responsibility.

Subject and Description
Add a subject and description for the the quotation, you can also refine the description using the editor by selecting the text.
Product/service row
To include a new product line in the quotation:
- Begin by searching for an existing product or service in your database, or alternatively, add a manual line if necessary.
- Provide a clear designation or detailed description of the product.
- Input the price per unit (excluding taxes).
- Specify the necessary quantity.
- Choose the appropriate unit of measurement for the product (e.g., unit, meter, m2, kg).
- When applicable, apply any discounts either as a fixed value or a percentage.
When adjusting the discount, please ensure that you choose the appropriate type:
- If you are applying a percentage discount, please specify the percentage.
- If you are applying a fixed value discount, please enter the value accordingly.
When setting up your selling order, it is crucial to clearly specify the currency in which you will be conducting transactions with your customer. This ensures that both you and your customers are on the same page regarding the monetary units being used for the transaction.
Additionally, you have the option to apply a discount for the entire quotation, if desired.
Include payment terms to outline how you wish to collect payments. Include any additional notes or special instructions pertinent to the quotation.

Once you have completed all the necessary steps, click on the "Save Quotation" button. You will be automatically redirected to the document page where you can further review and make any additional changes if needed.
